The architectural approach embraces organic materials, warm hues, and layered lighting that emulate the natural flow of waves. Defined lines and pastel colors further enhance the sense of calmness and serenity, particularly as guests transition from the energetic atmosphere of sunrise to the peaceful beauty of the sunset.

ELASTIC’s vision was to create spaces that embody the sensation of surfing—immersing oneself in the waves and emerging with a deep connection to the natural setting. At Ilios Beach Club and Nalu Surf Club, we captured that journey in the design, allowing visitors to experience the thrill and tranquility of the ocean in an innovative and engaging environment.

Natural light and ventilation are maximized throughout the venues, ensuring that the spaces remain open, bright, and breezy—mirroring the surfer’s bond with wind and water. Communal areas were designed to encourage social interaction, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and connection among guests, much like the sense of community inherent in the sport of surfing.
