As sumptuous and romantic as the city itself, Aman Canal Grande Venice set in a 16th century palazzo on the Grand Canal, is home to museum quality treasures including Tiepolo frescoes, gilded ceilings and centuries-old, leather wall coverings.

With views of the hotel’s private garden or the Grand Canal, many of the 24 rooms and signature rooms feature protected frescos and reliefs. In its short operating history the Hotel has already hosted a number of world-wide famous events as the Christie’s 2015 Art Biennale Event and many more.

The renovation of this listed Palazzo was a great architectural challenge, as all main building structures had to remain untouched due to their historical nature.

The interior design clearly presents the contrast between the old and new, with furniture, colors & material that are modest, elegant and simple. The story behind each “camera” is unique. Creating an almost theatrical scenery. It is renowned as one of the best hotels worldwide and we are proud to have been a part of this team effort.

As guest experience is the ultimate goal for Aman, an exclusive restaurant was requested, in order to expand the culinary horizons of the Guests.

Inspired by the palazzo’s historical beauty and location, an intimate kitchen, where great memories are made, is created. From this very room the Chef, out of pure passion, would labor and prepare the most extravagant meals for the guests.

Taking inspiration from the garden and the Palazzo’s interior frescos, hand painted mural adorns the walls of the kitchen creating an ethereal backdrop of landscape and trees. The rich golden tones depict sunset over an enchanted scenery. Taking cues from the existing architecture, the exposed beams and plaster ceiling adds a dramatic charm to complement the mural. Utilizing existing design features and finish elements like the terrazzo flooring, the Palazzo kitchen ties in seamlessly with the adjacent interior spaces giving the room a lasting impression that it has always been there waiting to be discovered.

The heart of the room is our Kitchen table, composed of World class Marrone equipment paired with a rich ebonized wood table top. The configuration offers guests a full sensory experience, allowing them to intimately engage with their surroundings. Inspired by jewelry display cases, the bespoke wine vitrines are ebonized wood frames with interior mirror panels. The interior shelving is made of high polished metal rods with integrated lighting showcasing the curated selection of the finest wine and champagne.

Bronze and high polished chrome accents are found within the decorative hardware and suspended light fixture which reflect the warm hues of the space. Adding softness and lightness to the room, high quality leather seating in neutral tones surround the kitchen table inviting guests for an immersive culinary occasion.
