Elastic Architects carried out the architectural design of the Jumelle Coco-mat hotel, attempting to visually connect it with the existing Coco-mat Hotel, situated in the same area, by using a common architectural language. The hotel, with its unpretentious simplicity, caters to every visitor of the city, offering high-end services in one of the most central areas of Athens. The hotel is centrally located in between cultural landmarks, such as the Cycladic and Byzantine Museum. The hotel consists of two adjacent building, brought together by the Architects to create a contemporary boutique hotel, with a total of 46 rooms. The facades of Herodotus street, are an exceptional example of eclecticism and have been listed for their uniqueness. The vertical garden that engulfs the façade, creating as barrier between the narrow road and also a contrast between the two buildings.

The materials selected on the facade correspond to the requirements of the aesthetic philosophy that characterizes Coco-mat. Wood that has been used is cedar due to its soft coloring and resistance to air pollution. The colors approach the earthly shades combined in harmony with the wooden elements. These elements, which are the main architectural elements of the new face, function as vertical wooden movable shades. These movable blinds serve in the shading as well as in the visual privacy of the occupants, as they can selectively draw them on the straight edge of the outfit.

The revival of bay window (erker) is emphasized by creating a cement plaster frame, in part of the existing balconies, which is emerging as a basic element of the architectural composition through the horizontal and vertical elements. The balconies are preserved and curved in their corners so as to have a smoother relationship with the narrow street and neighboring buildings. In addition, their edges are lined and coated with black metal and the metallic parapets are replaced by glass. The contrast between classical and contemporary is the key element of the design
